These ranges should be used in determining the salaries for officers of research throughout the University for the 2024-2025 academic year.

This policy concerns the conditions under which University employees may work fully remotely. The policy applies to all University employees including Faculty, Researchers, Librarians and Administrative Staff including Variable Hours Officers (VHOs), though the application is not the same for all categories.      

New requirement for faculty and officers of research who plan to take an unpaid leave from the University with a duration longer than three months.

Oct. 29, 2015-- Columbia is in a unique position to lead its peers with respect to diversity, including in the area of faculty diversity.

The Provost announces thirteen faculty members who have been selected for the 2015-2017 Provost Leadership Fellows program.  

July 15, 2015-- By every measure of academic success, Columbia continues to make enormous strides. This Year-End Report provides some detail on all these activities, with occasional reference to documents and data available from relevant University websites.

June 1, 2015-- The Provost announces the funded projects for the Provost’s Grants Program for Junior Faculty Who Contribute to the Diversity Goals for the 2014-2015 academic year. 

May 15, 2015-- Awardees for the faculty grant program on Hybrid Learning Course Redesign and Delivery are announced. 

Apr. 28, 2015-- Building on existing initiatives to enhance the diversity of our faculty, the University has committed an additional $33 million for recruitment, support, and related programs .

Jan. 28, 2015-- This is an important reminder that you enter textbook information into CourseWorks for every course you teach, in time to help students choose the courses for which they will register. Please submit textbook information for your Spring semester courses as soon as possible. 

Jan. 22, 2015-- The Provost highlights two new developments in the University’s ongoing efforts to prevent gender-based misconduct, strengthen the response to such misconduct when it occurs, and enhance our campus climate.

The 2013 Provost Leadership Fellows are announced.

The Provost requests nominations for the 2015 Presidential Awards for Outstanding Teaching by Graduate Students.

An invitation to nominate faculty for the 20th annual Presidential Awards to honor great teaching at our University. 

At the direction of President Bollinger, the Provost has convened a committee to conduct a search for the next University Librarian.

Oct. 16, 2014--The Provost’s Faculty Advisory Committee on Online Learning, chaired by David Madigan, EVP of Arts and Sciences, shares its report and highlights a key outcome: a Request for Proposals for a faculty small grant program, which will support novel approaches to course design and educational technologies.

The Provost reminds the community about deadlines for voter registration. 

Sept. 30, 2014-- Several new faculty members join the 2014-2015 Provost’s Advisory Council for the Enhancement of Faculty Diversity, a group that plays a key advisory role in helping to shape the University’s efforts to attract, advance, and retain a diverse faculty of outstanding scholars.
