Marina Zamalin

Marina Zamalin joined the Office of the Provost in December 2024 as Director of Online Education in the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation (OTLI). Marina supports the OTLI team in promoting excellence in teaching and learning, advancing a culture of educational innovation, and helping the University navigate the changing landscape of online education. She also supports the Science of Learning Research (SOLER) Initiative, a cross-disciplinary research hub dedicated to advancing and supporting the scholarship of teaching and learning at Columbia.

Marina brings many years of experience in the higher education, non-profit, and information technology fields. Before joining the Office of the Provost, Marina led Columbia Video Network (CVN), the online learning division of Columbia Engineering. She holds an M.S. in Integrated Digital Media from the New York University Tandon School of Engineering and a B.S. in Computer & Information Science from Brooklyn College.
