Lu Zhang

Lu Zhang joined the Office of the Provost in September 2025 as Associate Director for Academic Programs. In this role, she supports university-wide initiatives related to assessment, accreditation, and educational effectiveness. She came to Columbia from Northern Michigan University, where she contributed to institutional effectiveness, accreditation and assessment efforts, and student success analyses.

Lu earned a Master of Science in Education from Indiana University Bloomington, with a concentration in research methodology and statistics. She is passionate about using data to drive continuous improvement in higher education and looks forward to partnering with schools and programs across the university.
