Christina Powell

Christina Powell joined the Provost's Office in June 2026 as the inaugural Associate Provost for Strategic Initiatives, providing leadership, planning, and oversight for key academic, administrative, and institutional initiatives within the Office of the Provost.

Christina previously served for eight years as Chief of Staff at NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, where, as a member of the school's administrative leadership team, she counseled the Dean, served on the steering committee for the school's strategic planning process, and led special projects, faculty affairs, communications strategy, events, and efforts to strengthen Wagner's reputation and visibility.

She joined NYU from NYC Health + Hospitals, New York City's public hospital system, where she spent eight years in various roles, including Director of Research Administration and Senior Director of the Fund for NYC Health + Hospitals. Earlier in her career, she worked at Gilda's Club Worldwide.

Christina holds a JD from Seton Hall Law School, an MPA in Health Policy and Management from NYU Wagner, and a BA in Neuroscience and Behavior from Barnard College.
