Assistance to the University of Puerto Rico

December 05, 2017

Columbia has been in constant consultation with the administration of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) since soon after Hurricane MarĂa devastated the island to determine how best to help the university in the aftermath of the storm. After UPR decided that they would no longer seek to place their undergraduate students in universities on the mainland, they have asked us to develop opportunities for graduate students whose research progress was affected by the storm.

We are very interested in supporting UPR and have developed a program to address this need. Thank you to all faculty members who are able to assist UPR in this way and for all efforts underway to support our colleagues, students, and families in Puerto Rico.
