Marina Zamalin

Marina Zamalin joined the Office of the Provost in 2024. As the Associate Provost for Online Education, Marina works closely with leaders of Columbia’s schools and departments, the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), Columbia University Information Technology, and various committees and groups to strengthen initiatives in online education and manage related programming, resources, technologies, and the policies that support and govern them.

Marina supports the OTLI team in promoting excellence in teaching and learning, advancing a culture of educational innovation, and helping the University navigate the changing landscape of online education. Marina also oversees the CTL Instructional Technology and Columbia Plus teams. 

Marina brings many years of experience in the higher education, non-profit, and information technology fields. Before joining the Office of the Provost, Marina led Columbia Video Network (CVN), the online learning division of Columbia Engineering. She holds an M.S. in Integrated Digital Media from the New York University Tandon School of Engineering and a B.S. in Computer & Information Science from Brooklyn College.
