IFP Writing Accountability Group

The Inclusive Faculty Pathways in collaboration with the Office of Academic Diversity and Inclusion at GSAS would like to offer weekly writing accountability groups for the spring 2024 semester.

Eligibility Requirements

This program is a peer-directed, highly-focused, results-oriented writing program for Provost Diversity Fellows and Provost Postdoctoral Fellows working on a major writing project (e.g. a dissertation chapter, dissertation-related project, article, grant writing, proposal writing, etc.).

Meeting Timeframes and Dates

Participants commit to meeting with their assigned writing group as follows: 

Day of the week: Friday 
Time: 10am - 1 pm or 1 pm- 4 pm
Timeframe:  February 2 through April 26 for 12 weeks (*no meeting on March 15 during spring break). 
Meeting Format: a mix of in-person and meetings via Zoom

Program Details

This program will provide: 

  • a co-writing space (in-person or virtual)
  • structure
  • refreshments for 3 in-person meetings (February 2, March 1, April 26)


Group members will work in tandem with one another for accountability and support.

Peer Facilitators

Currently, we are seeking Provost Diversity Fellows who might be interested in facilitating these weekly meetings.  All facilitators will also participate in the writing group.  This is a fantastic experience that will allow you to work on a piece of writing, add something to your CV, and get a small stipend.  For more information, please reach out to [email protected].
