Bio
Elly is currently a Ph.D. student in the Biostatistics Department. He received his B.S. in Biometry & Statistics and a master's degree in Applied Statistics from Cornell University. Before joining Columbia, Elly worked at AstraZeneca (AZ) Pharmaceuticals. In his Senior Data Scientist role, Elly spent his time researching explainable AI methods in the context of clinical factors, molecular variables, and clinical outcomes. He also worked on flexible methods for identifying predictive biomarkers. His research interests include clinical trials, personalized medicine and Explainable AI (xAI).
