- Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER): CIMER aims to foster inclusive excellence and professional development in research environments. It develops, implements, and studies evidence-based, culturally responsive interventions to improve research mentoring for both mentors and mentees. Its curricula includes Entering Mentoring, Entering Research, Mentoring Up, and more.
- Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL): The CIRTL mission is to develop future faculty committed to implementing and advancing evidence-based teaching practices to enrich undergraduate education that is accessible to all learners. Columbia is part of the CIRTL Network.
- Faculty Advancement Network (FAN): The Faculty Advancement Network (FAN) is a consortium of national research universities collaborating to advance excellence at scale through a thriving professoriate. The network is led by a Steering Committee with expertise across faculty affairs, advancement, development, diversity, inclusion, and graduate education who agree: systemic challenges demand collaborative solutions. To that end, the community of practice is continually seeking collaborations of consequence that reimagine the norms, structures, policies, and programs that shape university cultures and the academic workforce.
- CUIMC Mentor/Mentee Trainings: The Office of Faculty Professional Development and Engagement and the Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research are pleased to announce the launch of BEAM: Building Excellence in Academic Mentorship Series and Certificate Program.
