Speaking with Presence Workshop - Cloned

The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement is accepting applications for a "Speaking with Presence" workshop on Friday, March 24, 10 am - 3 pm. This workshop, presented by Victoria Durden, Director of Learning and Development, is designed to help improve self-awareness, public speaking skills and build confidence in personal leadership. Attendees will learn how to customize their message, make a positive impression and present with greater impact using effective verbal and nonverbal communication techniques.

Eligibility Requirements

Applications are accepted from Provost Diversity Fellows, Provost’s Postdoctoral Fellows, Bridge Scholars and Junior Faculty Awardees. 

Workshop Goals

  • Recognize qualities that convey leadership presence 
  • Strengthen presentation and communication skills
  • Develop and practice delivering your elevator pitch
  • Practice leading formal and informal presentations

10:00 am –12:00 pm Coaching Session
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch will be provided 
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Coaching and Presentations
