Columbia Health
Columbia Health's Transgender and Gender Expansive team (TGET)
offers Transgender and Gender Expansive Health Care Services. Find information on sexual and gender identity issues, hormone therapy, LGBTQ support and sexual health peer counseling, gender-affirming surgery consultation, the queer academics discussion group, as well as drop-in support

Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS)
Columbia Health’s Counseling and Psychological Services team supports the psychological and emotional wellbeing of the Columbia community. LGBTQ+ support includes: Sexual and Gender Identity issues, Support Groups. In addition, CPS provides treatment, consultation, and coordination of off-campus resources or referrals. Medical Services include sexual health.

Columbia Health Insurance Office
The Columbia Health Insurance Office is an important student resource that is especially beneficial for LGBTQ and queer/trans students navigating coverage for gender affirming care, understanding the school insurance plan, and obtaining coverage for medications.

Gay Health Advocacy Project
The Gay Health Advocacy Project (GHAP) welcomes students of all gender identities and orientations, and is especially committed to LGBTQ students. Services include birth control education, gender-affirming surgery consultation, HIV testing and treatment, hormone therapy, lgbtq support and sexual health peer counseling, men's health, pep (post-exposure prophylaxis), prep (pre-exposure prophylaxis), sexually transmitted infections (STI) testing, support groups, women's health, and women's sexual health and birth control peer counseling.

Sexual Violence Response
Sexual Violence Response provides trauma-informed, confidential support through crisis counseling/intervention, advocacy, prevention, and outreach.


External Organizations and Resources

National Center for Transgender Equality 
The National Center for Transgender Equality advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation’s capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice.

Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF)
Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund is committed to ending discrimination based upon gender identity and expression and to achieving equality for transgender people through public education, test-case litigation, direct legal services, and public policy efforts.

Transgender Day of Remembrance 
This website includes resources that can be used during TDoR memorial events, including data for trans murder and suicide victims dating back to 1970. 

TGEU
TGEU is a member-based organization working primarily in Europe and Central Asia for the rights and lives of trans people. They conduct research that serves gender-diverse/trans people’s movements and activism.

National Black Trans Advocacy Coalition (BTAC)
The BTAC is the only social justice organization led by black trans people to collectively address the inequities rooted in systemic racism faced in the black transgender human experience in health, employment, housing and education improve the lived experience of transgender people.
