This is the 8th Anti-Racism Speaker Serires event which will feature Dr. Jolaade Kalinowski, an Assistant Professor at UCONN. Her lecture, titled “Stress Interventions as an Act of Resistance: Black Women’s Health”, will be held virtually on March 9th , 2023..

Dr. Kalinowski is an Assistant Professor in the Human Development and Family Sciences department at UCONN. Kalinowski is an alumna of Columbia University’s Teachers College. She is behavioral cardiovascular researcher with interests including: the role of stress in cardiovascular health disparities, the role of ethnic identity on health, women’s health, and social determinants of health.
