The Theatre Accountability Project, under the auspices of the School of the Arts Theatre Management & Producing Program, was spearheading two initiatives in the 2020-2021 school year:
- Workshop Sessions: Developing a series of workshop sessions entitled "Introduction to the Business of Theatre." These workshops were held for participants in the Black Theatre Coalition employment initiative. The pilot program during the fall semester were conducted online for a group of 10 participants.
- Demographic Survey: surveying Broadway Theatre Industry employers to gather employee demographic data as it existed prior to the shutdown of Broadway theatre in March 2020 and as it will exist once performances were resumed in 2021.
This project was funded through the Addressing Racism: A Call to Action for Higher Education initiative of the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement.
