The Public Humanities Spring Studio offered a series of on-line workshops co-curated by graduate students to feature their Public Humanities project in conversation with other scholars, community members, and civic partners. Each workshop provided a window into the intellectual and logistical challenges implied in scholarly civic engagement—a practice here cast as critical to better speaking of, learning about, and thinking together about how race is indeed spoken of, construed, performed, and silenced both outside and within the confines of academia.

This project was funded through the Addressing Racism: A Call to Action for Higher Education initiative of the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement.
