Troy J. Eggers

Troy Eggers serves as Executive Vice Provost at Columbia University and Interim Dean of the School of Professional Studies.

Since joining the Office of the Provost in 2011, Eggers has worked on many aspects of academic management including space planning, faculty housing, travel planning and emergency protocols, human resources, and financial management. He has broad oversight responsibilities across a range of offices within the Office of the Provost. He also oversees Columbia’s International Students and Scholars OfficeColumbia University Press, Columbia's University Seminars, and the Alliance joint-venture between Columbia, the École Polytechnique, Sciences Po, and Panthéon-Sorbonne University. He serves as the University liaison to The School at Columbia University and works with the Columbia Secondary School for Math, Science, and Engineering. Eggers serves on the board of the Research Collections and Preservation Facility (ReCAP), on the Oversight Council at The School at Columbia University, and as a University Pension Trustee. He is a member of the University Senate Benefits Subcommittee, a joint subcommittee of the Faculty Affairs and Budget Committees. Eggers also serves on the University’s Emergency Management Operations Team. He was appointed Interim Dean of the School of Professional Studies in July 2020.

Prior to joining the Provost’s Office, he served as Senior Associate Dean at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, overseeing all student-related and administrative functions of the school. Earlier in his career, Eggers ran Executive Education at Columbia Business School and oversaw all student-related functions at the school’s executive MBA programs. He received his bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
