Mid-Career and Junior Faculty Diversity Grant Awardees - Spring 2018

May 07, 2018

Dear fellow members of the Columbia community,

Now in its 13th year, the University’s Faculty Diversity Initiative continues to support our core values of inclusion and excellence.  Two grant programs, the Provost’s Grants Program for Junior Faculty Who Contribute to the Diversity Goals of the University and the new Provost’s Grants Program for Mid-Career Faculty Who Contribute to the Diversity Goals of the University, are key components of Columbia’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a thriving faculty.  I am pleased to write today to announce the Spring 2018 grant awardees.  Grantees were selected via a competitive process, with all applications reviewed by a committee of faculty from both the Morningside and Medical Center campuses.

This most recent round of funding follows ten prior rounds of support from the Junior Faculty Grant program, and is the first for the Mid-Career Faculty Grant program.  All told, these programs have supported 117 projects across the university.  Access more information on these programs

Please join Dennis A. Mitchell, Vice Provost for Faculty Diversity and Inclusion, and me in congratulating the recipients of these grants.
