Junior Faculty Diversity Grant Awardees
Dear fellow members of the Columbia community,
The University’s Faculty Diversity Initiative, initiated fourteen years ago, continues to support our core values of inclusion and excellence. A key component of Columbia’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a diverse and thriving faculty body is the Provost’s Grants Program for Junior Faculty Who Contribute to the Diversity Goals of the University. The ten faculty members below are the Fall 2018 recipients of the Junior Faculty Diversity Grants program.
All told, the program has supported 119 projects across the university. It is complemented by a similar program for recently tenured faculty, the Mid-Career Faculty Awards, and is part of an expanded suite of professional development programs at the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement.
Grantees were selected through a competitive process, with proposals reviewed by a committee of faculty from both the Morningside and Medical Center campuses. Information on the program and previous awardees can be found here.
Please join Dennis Mitchell, Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement, and me in congratulating the recipients of these grants.
