Fall 2021 Adjunct Faculty Appointments Update - VACCINATION MANDATE

August 18, 2021

Chairs, Directors, Academic Deans, and Departmental Administrators:

I want to thank you and your staff for all the work you did to meet the unexpectedly early deadlines of submitting Fall appointments so that your faculty would be able to comply with the vaccination mandate and be able to start teaching in person once the semester begins.

The HRPC has now uploaded all the rosters and is processing other Fall transactions as they are received.  You will need to alert your faculty once their records have been updated so that they can upload their vaccination documentation.  The "Personal Action Report" from Manager Self Service in PAC has been updated to allow you to see all the transactions that have been processed for your department within the past 30 days, including future dated transactions.  You should plan on running this report every two or three days and alert the newly appointed people that it is time for them to reference https://covid19.columbia.edu/content/columbia-university-vaccination-attestation-tutorial to obtain the procedure for uploading their vaccination attestation. Please remind them that proof of vaccination is required to give them access to the campus and to allow them to be in the classroom.

(To access the "Personal Action Report" login to MyColumbia==>Select PAC==>Select the Manager Self Service Tile==>Select the Manager Reports Tile==>Select Generate Personnel Action Report.  The report will immediately generate to the User screen and can be downloaded in an Excel format using a button on the top of the page.)

Please let Carmen DeLeon, Zeid Sitnica, or Pearl Spiro know immediately if you have any problems implementing these procedures.   They are all available to help ensure that your faculty have been appointed properly and can gain access to the campus for the Fall semester.

Thank you again for all the efforts you have made and will continue to make towards the successful full return to campus.
