Wondering how to present your teaching on the academic job market? Register for opportunities to learn about and begin drafting teaching-related documents with feedback and guidance from CTL. Come for one day, or come for all! Each day of the Representing Your Teaching Summer Intensives (RYTSI) will focus on representing your teaching in different parts of your academic job application: teaching statements, teaching portfolios, syllabi, diversity statements, and presenting your teaching in interviews and on the market. Each day runs from 9:00a to 3:00p in 208 Butler Library. Breakfast and lunch provided. Facilitated by CTL Graduate Student Programs and Services.
On Thursday, July 19, we will be working on the diversity statement, which represents your contributions and commitment to diversity and inclusion in teaching as well as research. Although this is still an uncommon element of a job application, preparing this document will help you speak about these topics with potential employers.
