Seed Grant Award: Zoom Performance/ Recording CITIZEN by Claudia Rankine

The MFA Columbia acting class of 2021 and 2022 performed virtual pieces from Claudia Rankine's Citizen. We have studied the book in class that semester and the grant allowed us to film, edit and provide us a way to release through digital marketing and advertising.  Rankine's "Citizen, An American Lyric" explores race through poetry and stories. Part documentary and part lyric poetry- this performance by the students was produced and filmed by a videographer and editor to be shared with the university and beyond.
