Bio
Elly Kipkogei is currently a Ph.D. student in the Biostatistics Department. He received his B.S. in Biometry & Statistics and a master's degree in Applied Statistics from Cornell University. Before joining Columbia University, Elly worked at AstraZeneca (AZ) Pharmaceuticals. In his Senior Data Scientist role, Elly spent his time researching explainable AI methods in the context of clinical factors, molecular variables, and clinical outcomes. He also worked on flexible methods for identifying predictive biomarkers. His interests range from dynamic systems modeling for health outcomes, predictive biomarkers finding, fragility index and its extension to non-binary outcomes in clinical trials to statistical genetics and genomics.
